Recording sessions drawing to a close

Completing recording sessions

We’re very close to completing all recordings on our next album, The Eloquence of Silence..

We had a fantastic start on the recording sessions in the autumn of 2011. However, as we went along we started facing all sorts of challenges and unfortunately this resulted in quite a delay. To make a long story short, we got back on track and everything is well.

We have a few things left to do – actually, just finishing rhythm guitars and some of the backing vocals. We expect to finish recordings within the next 2-3 weeks and start the mix and mastering process in the beginning of June. We aim to have the master ready around 1 July.

We don’t have a release date yet, but we expect it to be late summer.

Until then, you have a chance to meet up with us on 2 June at Metal Mekka in Odense.

Well on our way with vocals

We’re kicking ass with the recordings. Michael has recorded lead vocals on nine out of the twelve tracks.  He’s seriously kicking ass, so be prepared.

The tracks are really starting to take shape. What we have now is already sounding extremely well, and we’re confident that the end result will be amazing!

Stay tuned for more… :)

Basics done on all 12 tracks

Lars recording bass on The Eloquence of Silence (Ripe)We’re rapidly moving forward with recordings on The Eloquence of Silence.

After just 2 weeks of recording, we have now finalized drums, bass and rhythm guitars on all 12 tracks!! It’s going very well and we’re confident that this album is going to be at least as good as A Moment of Forever :-) We have some powerful tracks in the making, so be prepared for some powerful metal…!

Tracking will continue through rest of October and then mix and mastering in the beginning of November.

Now that we have a solid foundation on all tracks, Michael is next up to lay down his killer vocal.

Guitars in the making

Day 5 of our recording sessions have commenced!

Peter has successfully completed all drum tracks setting a powerful and solid base for the rest of the our performances on the record.

Now, it’s Jacob’s turn to  lay down his rhythm guitar tracks. He’s wielding his black and golden beauty, crunching and grinding through each track putting tons of power and energy in each song.

Recordings will go on through all of October, finishing the process in mid November with mixing and mastering.

We plan to provide you with frequent updates -both pictures and video – as we proceed, so stay tuned!

Eloquence of Silence Studio Tour

We’ve started the recordings of our new album The Eloquence of Silence, here’s a quick tour of our studio where we will be spending a lot of time while we record the new tracks.

More videos will be added so stay tuned

We’re looking for a new bass player

We’re looking for an experienced bass player who can take Ripe to the next level with us.

In 2010 Ripe released the debut album, ”A moment of Forever”, and right now we’re working on our second album, scheduled for release in 2nd quarter of 2011. Our new bass player will get the chance to participate on our next release “The Eloquence of Silence”.

We’re looking for a person who can say YES to this:

  • Experienced as a bass player – of course, you’ve got your own gear etc.
  • Feel at home on the stage and support the identy of the band
  • Rehearse at home and once a week with the band, and eager to play gigs
  • Contribute both musically and socially to the band

Furthermore it’s an advantage if you can help solve some of the tasks related to the band, such as book gigs, update websites, edit news etc.

If you think this person is you, write a few words about yourself or call us. Then we can set a date for an audition at our studio in Søborg.

Ripe and Bob Thunder has parted ways

Ripe has parted ways with founding member and bass player Bob Thunder.

Bob would like to explore and pursue a new musical direction, and therefore we decided to go our seperates ways. We split up on friendly terms and we all agreed that it was the right thing to do.

It has been a great ride with Bob in the band. He has been a great friend and collegue, and we will miss him dearly. We wish Bob all the best in the future, and expect you to do the same!

On the positive side, we’re working hard to finish our next album, “The Eloquence of Silence”. All tracks have been written, and we have already made a pre-recording for promotion. We’re starting recordings for the album very soon, and hopefully The Eloquence of Silence will be ready for release in second quarter of 2011.
